The Old Man and the Snail

​

A grumpy man hears a scratching on his door. So, he opens the door.

He looks, but there's nothing there.

So, he goes back in again.

A few minutes later; the same scratching on the door.

Annoyed, the man rushes through the door and opens it.

Nothing there.

While closing the door, he sees something small sitting on his doorstep.

It's a snail.

The man doesn't like snails.

He picks up the snail.

He throws it across the street and into the woods.

Two months later, the grumpy man hears a scratching on the door again.

He rushes to the door, opens it, and looks down.

A snail looks up at him. The snail says: “Hey, what was that all about?!”
